Great value for money with a cosy and comfy room. Perfect location for dog walking adventures and only a short walk to the Moors. The host was welcoming and not overbearing, making us feel right at home.
When it came to breakfast choices, it would have been nice to have a few more options available.

I had a fantastic stay at this lovely property in a tranquil location. The lodge was warm, clean, and comfortable, providing all the modern amenities I needed. The owners, Naomi and Brian, were friendly and helpful, ensuring that my stay was enjoyable. The property itself was stunning, with a high-quality finish. It was perfect for my active lifestyle, as it offered easy access to beautiful walks and the picturesque countryside. Not to mention, it was conveniently located near Tavistock town. I highly recommend this property for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat and a chance to explore the area.

The location of the hotel was perfect, with close proximity to the town center and beautiful countryside for walks. the lodge itself had a warm and comfortable atmosphere, with clean and tidy rooms. the kitchen was well-equipped, with supplies like eggs, bread, and milk provided. the bed was extremely cozy, ensuring a great night's sleep. the presence of games in the cupboards added to the overall pleasant stay.
The driveway view could have been more appealing, as it seemed a bit neglected with dried up flower pots.

The value for money was great and the room itself was clean, tidy, and felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful Moors, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
The morning meal could have been improved with a few more kitchen utensils. A measuring jug, serving spoon, and some oven dishes would have been handy.

We had a fantastic stay at a beautiful lodge nestled in a tranquil location, with easy access to stunning walks and the wild beauty of nature. the lodge was immaculately clean, well decorated, and had a simple layout with lots of floor space. the fridge and cupboards were stocked with a lovely selection of breakfast goods, and the kitchen facilities were well laid out, with a dishwasher and washing machine. the double bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the shower was lovely.
The outside seating area could do with a little bit of TLC.

The location of the hotel is ideal, with great walks on the moor only a minute away. the property is spotlessly clean with a simple layout and lots of floor space. the fridge and cupboards are stocked with breakfast, which is a nice touch. the owners provide complimentary necessities on arrival, adding to the convenience of the stay.
The kitchen lacks a few necessary items, such as a measuring jug and serving spoon, which could make cooking a bit challenging.

the lodge was not only very clean and modern, but it also had a lot of character. It provided everything we needed for a break away, including fully equipped kitchen utensils and even a delicious cake in the fridge. the host, Noami, was excellent, providing us with excellent directions and being in constant communication before our arrival. She was always available in case of any emergencies. the lodge itself was very spacious with plenty of storage space and it even had a secure area for our dog. We also enjoyed the close proximity to the Moors, just a 5-minute walk away, and we made the most of the beautiful weather by visiting many nearby places.
A fantastic place to stay with everything you could ask for. Cons: Didn't dislike anything about the property.

The property was in a quiet location with easy access to walks and a short drive to restaurants, pubs, and shops. It was well-maintained and had all the necessary amenities. the owners were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. the property itself was stunning and finished to a very high standard.
It was a bit difficult to find, especially in the dark and heavy rain, despite the given directions. A small inconvenience was that we couldn't find a broom or hoover to clean up the dirty floors from our outdoor activities.

The location of the hotel was amazing, nestled in the heart of a beautiful natural landscape. Being surrounded by nature added a romantic touch to our escape. We loved the fact that there were plenty of walking trails nearby, allowing us to explore the area and enjoy some quality time together. The peaceful atmosphere of the hotel added to the overall charm and made our stay truly relaxing.
the decor of the hotel lacked attention to detail and felt a bit neglected. The dried up flower pots and sparse decor didn't create a welcoming atmosphere.

We had a fantastic time at Oak Lodge! The location was perfect for us, tucked away in a peaceful spot with easy access to Dartmoor. The lodge itself was beautifully decorated and so comfortable - we couldn't have asked for more. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and the complimentary necessities on arrival were a thoughtful touch. Despite a few minor drawbacks, like the lack of a mirror in the bedroom and a slightly neglected outside seating area, our stay was still amazing. We highly recommend Oak Lodge for anyone seeking a tranquil getaway near the wild beauty of Dartmoor. we had a memorable experience and would definitely choose to stay here again!
